M&S tube sight glasses
Applying the Cylinder Sight Glasses
To monitor your process visually on a relatively inexpensive way there are various Cylinder Sight Glass available. A Sight Glass consists of a tube made out of glass. This tool is placed between two pipes. The product which is being processed travels through the glass tube. In this way the product can be monitored without having to interrupt the process.
In order to check your process visually, there are several types of the Cylinder Sight Glass available. Each notice has its own version, not functionally inferior to another. However, this means that the parts, given the various dimensions, are not compatible with each other. The glass of a cylinder sight glass is standard borosilikaat but can also be made from other material.
