Root Cause Analysis
In cooperation with Alfa Laval, SKS has access to specialised and fully equipped service centres. In such a service centre, specially trained specialists recondition your exchanger or plate pack like new.
During reconditioning, the plates and gaskets are subjected to a thorough inspection and various measurements. This ensures you of the current status of the components. If the gasket or plate does not meet the tolerances, we will proactively discuss the matter with you before unnecessary costs are incurred.
Why reconditioning?
- It can be up to 40% cheaper than buying a new set of plates & gaskets.
- You will be up and running again within 1 to a maximum of 5 working days.
- By reusing the parts, you contribute to sustainability.

Do you have several exchangers?
We use the technical documentation to check whether the plates coming out of one exchanger also fit into any other exchangers. In this way, a careful spare kit can be put together from the reconditioned parts to provide you with spare parts for a wide range of uses.
Risks in self-cleaning
Reconditioning yourself or choosing a less qualified supplier may seem advantageous, but can leave small defects undetected that later lead to bigger problems. Using incorrect tools or parts can even cause serious damage to your plate heat exchangers, with risks of leaks due to deterioration and careless assembly.
