A gasketed plate heat exchanger has no moving parts, but it does require periodic maintenance to continue performing reliably and efficiently. When maintenance is required varies per installation and depends, among other things, on the medium, temperature, pressure and operating conditions.
With a Visual Condition Assessment (VCA), SKS quickly and expertly maps the current condition of your gasketed plate heat exchanger. Our specialists have their own measuring equipment for this, including a thermal imaging camera. This allows us to carry out the VCA ourselves at your location.
You gain valuable insight into the condition of your heat exchanger and any potential points of attention. This helps you plan maintenance more effectively, helps prevent unexpected downtime and allows you to make optimal use of the service life of your installation.
What is a Visual Condition Assessment?
During a VCA, SKS assesses your gasketed plate heat exchanger while it is in operation. With our thermal imaging camera, we visualise the thermal performance of the heat exchanger. We also examine the visible condition of the unit and any indications of issues that could affect performance or operational reliability.
The major advantage is that the heat exchanger does not need to be opened for this. As a result, the assessment can be carried out quickly and with minimal impact on your production process.
You receive a clear report
After the VCA, you receive a clear report from SKS for each assessed gasketed plate heat exchanger. This gives you practical information for planning and prioritising future maintenance.
The report includes, among other things:
- Details of the assessed heat exchanger
- Thermal images of the heat exchanger
- Photos and descriptions of relevant points of attention
- Our findings on the condition and performance
- Recommendations for maintenance and any follow up steps
