UHP (Ultra High Purity) tube
UHP (Ultra High Purity) tubes
are described with the code MS and can vary in finish grade from 0 to 8. To meet most applications within the semiconductor, TFT/LCD, solar, and related industries, the MS1, MS3, and MS6 versions have been chosen as standard. The difference between these three variants is the way the internal surface roughness and cleanliness are achieved.
- MS1 = Ra max. 0,80µm, bright finish
- MS3 = Ra max. 0,80µm, anodically cleaned
- MS6 = Ra max. 0,25µm, electrolytically polished
Execution:
Annealed, welded, or seamless.
The tubes are cleaned oil/grease-free, dry, provided with end caps, and packed in a plastic sleeve. According to ASTM A-380.
Internal Surface Roughness Ra:
Surface roughness SF1 to SF3 mechanically polished or drawn
- MS1 Ra max. 0.80µm mechanically ground or drawn, cleaned (ASTM A632-S3)
- MS3 Ra max. 0.80µm mechanically ground or drawn, anodically cleaned (CGA G4.1 and ASTM G93)
- MS4 Ra max. 0.38µm mechanically ground or drawn, precision cleaned & passivated (CGA G4.1 and ASTM G93)
- MS6 Ra max. 0.25µm electrolytically polished, precision cleaned & passivated (CGA G4.1 and ASTM G93)
- MS6-S Ra max. 0.18µm electrolytically polished, precision cleaned & passivated (CGA G4.1 and ASTM G93)
- MS8 (Double Melt) Ra max. 0.127µm electrolytically polished, precision cleaned & passivated (CGA G4.1 and ASTM G93)
External Surface Roughness Ra:
- MS0 t/m MS8 Ra max. 0,8 µm
