The right connection for every pharmaceutical application
Couplings and flanges are essential components within pharmaceutical piping systems where safety, hygiene and process reliability are paramount. They provide reliable, leak-tight connections between process components and support a stable and reproducible production process in environments with strict validation and cleaning requirements.
Within the SKS product range, four specific variants are available, tailored to different installation requirements and standards. ASME BPE certified clamp couplings are widely used in international pharmaceutical installations where high hygienic standards and global acceptance are required. DIN 11864 A-3 clamp couplings provide a hygienic, demountable connection and are broadly applied within European pharmaceutical processes. For applications where a fixed and robust connection is required, SKS supplies DIN 11864 A-1 threaded couplings. In addition, DIN 11864 A-2 flange connections are available for situations where a strong bolted connection is needed, for example with larger diameters or higher mechanical loads.
All couplings and flanges are manufactured from high-quality Stainless Steel 316L and are suitable for use in pharmaceutical processes with CIP and SIP cleaning. Thanks to their standardized designs and compatibility with other installation materials, these couplings and flanges are ideally suited for both new installations and the maintenance, expansion or modification of existing pharmaceutical piping systems.
