Hygienic components for the pharmaceutical industry

Installation materials form the foundation of hygienic and reliable pharmaceutical piping systems. Within this product group, SKS offers a complete and carefully selected range of components that meet international standards and strict requirements in terms of hygiene, process reliability and reproducibility.

The range includes pharma tubes as the basis for the transport of liquids and process media within pharmaceutical installations. For directional changes and branching of pipelines, elbows, tees and crosses are available, manufactured according to standardized DT classifications and supplied with different surface finishes such as SF1 and SF4. SF1 is suitable for standard hygienic applications, while SF4 is applied in critical processes where maximum cleanability is required.

When a controlled transition between different pipe diameters is required, reducers provide a reliable solution. These are available in both concentric and eccentric designs and integrate seamlessly with other installation materials within the system.

For safe, leak-tight and hygienic connections, SKS supplies a wide range of couplings, including ASME BPE compliant clamp couplings as well as versions in accordance with DIN 11864. These couplings are designed for easy assembly and disassembly and support effective cleaning during CIP and SIP processes. In addition, end caps are available for the hygienic closing of pipelines, and take-off points for controlled product withdrawal or sampling without compromising hygiene or process control.

All installation materials are manufactured from high-quality Stainless Steel 316L and are suitable for use in regulated pharmaceutical environments. Thanks to their mutual compatibility, standards such as ASME BPE, and the availability of SF1 and SF4 surface finishes, SKS installation materials are widely applicable in both new installations and the maintenance, expansion or modification of existing pharmaceutical piping systems.
