Applying the M&S Stainless Steel Relief Valve
A Stainless Steel Relief Valve or Overflow Valve is mainly used at places where over pressure can originate, for example after a positive displacement pump. If the line pressure exceeds the set pressure of the safety valve, the valve moves up. Subsequently it opens the bypass and return line to the tank. If the pressure drops below the set value, the valve closes again. For this purpose M&S has a perpendicular hygienic safety valve that can be set with different spring values of 0.3 to a maximum of 8 bar. Connection sizes are DN25 to DN80 equipped with thread according to DIN 11851. The internal roughness of the overflow valve can be agreed with the factory. The valve is manufactured from stainless steel 304 (1.4301 / 1.4307) but is optionally also available in stainless steel 316L (1.4404). Seals are available in NBR, EPDM and FKM.
The M&S stainless steel safety valve is available as:
- Sealed version
