Applying the Alfa Laval Positive Displacement Pump SCPP

The SCPP is an Alfa Laval positive displacement pump that can be used in both of hygiene industries such as food but also in ultra-hygienic industries such as Pharma. The SCPP is made for products of relatively low viscosity, which need to be pumped to high pressure. Due to the special "lobes" contrast occurs in comparison to a standard rotary lobe pump which has less slip on. Because of the large interface and to the unique shape of the lobes, there is a little slip caused at low viscosity which makes the pump also friendlier to the product than, for example, a centrifugal pump. The pumps are equipped with the two "piston" lobes, but optionally available with a single rotary lobe. This is specifically designed for larger products and ensure minimal damage to the product. The pumps can be ordered on request with square outlets.
