DIN 32676 Clamp Coupling

The clamp coupling, also known as a clamping connection, originated in the United States under the name Tri-Clamp. Within Europe, this version is also available in sizes and specifications according to EN 10357-A, which corresponds to DIN 11850-R2. These specifications are further defined in the DIN 32676 standard.

What makes the clamp coupling so unique is its composition of two ferrules, a gasket, and a robust clamp. These components are designed with optimal hygiene in mind and therefore meet the strict standards required in industries such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics.

Thanks to its ease of use and quick assembly, this coupling is widely used, especially in the American market where speed, hygiene, and reliability are essential. Demand is also growing rapidly across Europe, partly due to its proven reliability and practical application in various process installations.

Parts Clamp coupling

Various standards for the clamp connection apply to the inch sizes. These all come from a different family. All inch sizes are included in the EN10357 series D, so these different standards all apply.

ISO-2852: based on the ISO2037 (SMS) sizes
BS-4825-3: according to the British Standard
DIN-32676: Inch sizes as in ASME BPE (A-270)
ASME BPE A-270: American inches mainly known from the pharma application
Dutch inch: Inch measurements that are not standardized, but applicable.

These clamp connections may differ in the diameter of the flange, diameter of the sealing groove and slope of the flange.
