Operating Principle of the C-TOP eX
The control head is equipped with a sensor system that provides NAMUR feedback through an LED indicator and low voltage solenoid valves. These components are suitable for connection to an electrical or intrinsic safety barrier and can be linked to a PLC via a digital interface. External signals activate one to three solenoid valves that operate the valve actuator, while inductive sensors monitor the position of the actuator using a metal target mounted on the actuator shaft.
