Alfa Laval TwinScrew
The Alfa Laval Twin Screw is a hygienic Twin Screw pump designed for industries such as dairy, beverages and other food processes. A Twin Screw is perfectly suitable for pumping both the viscous medium and CIP product in one line.
The pump is standard designed and certified according to the EHEDG and 3A standards. The entire pump is made of high quality stainless steel material and therefore a fitting whole within your hygienic process.
Applying the Alfa Laval Twin Screw Pump
By means of 2 "Screws" the medium is carefully pumped to the desired destination. Normally, the medium is supplied through the horizontal port and is pumped to the vertical port. The Alfa Laval screw pump can also work in reverse by means of a simple adjustment.
The Twin Screw pump be supplied in 12 different models based on 4 frames. There are 3 different "screws" per frame type to pump your product with care. Depending on the size of the particles present in the product, the distance between the screw chambers is determined.
Operation principle of the Alfa Laval Screw pump
The housing of the Alfa Laval Twin Screw pump is easy to disassemble. This makes it easy to maintain. The shaft seal is designed according to a kind of "cassette". This makes it possible to replace only the sealing materials within the shaft seal during service and maintenance. The seal is available in three variants: a single operation, single operation with flushing and double operation.
Unlike other twin screw pumps, Alfa Laval has designed a technique in the gearbox to keep the temperature of the oil low. This makes it possible to achieve a higher speed with less wear.
