Blindflens EN 1092-1 type 05
Voor industriële leidingsystemen behoren flensverbindingen tot de meest toegepaste en betrouwbare verbindingsmethoden. Veel afsluiters, pompen en andere leidingcomponenten zijn uitgevoerd met flensaansluitingen, waardoor deze eenvoudig kunnen worden gemonteerd en gedemonteerd zonder onnodige spanningen in het leidingsysteem te veroorzaken. Dit maakt flensverbindingen bijzonder geschikt voor toepassingen waarbij toegankelijkheid, onderhoudsgemak en bedrijfszekerheid belangrijk zijn.
EN 1092-1 is de actuele Europese norm voor ronde stalen flenzen en biedt een uniforme classificatie op basis van verschillende flenstypen en drukklassen. Specificaties die voorheen in verschillende DIN- en ISO-normen werden beschreven, zijn hierin grotendeels samengebracht.
EN 1092-1 sluit aan op andere Europese normen die veel worden toegepast binnen industriële leidingsystemen, waaronder EN 10217-7 voor gelaste roestvaststalen buizen en EN 10253-4 voor roestvaststalen lasfittingen. Hierdoor ontstaat een consistent en gestandaardiseerd systeem voor de selectie van onderling passende leidingcomponenten voor druktoepassingen.
Door componenten volgens deze normen te selecteren, kunnen leidingsystemen worden samengesteld met een hoge mate van compatibiliteit, betrouwbaarheid en veiligheid. Daarnaast sluiten deze normen aan bij de eisen die van toepassing kunnen zijn onder de Europese Richtlijn Drukapparatuur (PED 2014/68/EU).
